Finally got around to replacing my third or fourth ceased, new OEM caliper since I've owned the thing. They don't make OEM parts like the used to. At some point I told our customers just to leave or rebuild what they have on the vehicles if it's more than 20 years old because the mfg new components are worse quality than the originals. (depends on the component of course)

These performance pads have less than 15k miles on them. The other side has about 3/4 pad left. It was an intermittent issue which is why it got this bad. And yes at some point it got so hot it boiled the new grease from the slide pins and wore the inner pad down.
