We need a more trustworthy company to build cheap but competitive VR headsets, I wouldn't have minded a cheaper apple VR if they didn't just go ahead and walled everything off. 

The VR market has so much potential, but Is largely kept back since it's Meta calling the shots. 

Sony has an opportunity here, if they could only make it standalone or cross compatible with PCs.

high-quality VR experiences and a high-quality ecosystem will create a demand that brings technologists/companies to build great, cheap headsets
