 @40bf96e5 yeah there's something really nice about just plugging in, flicking a switch, and playing instantly. And being able to turn actual knobs to control things. You can hook the Katana up to a PC though to get more effects and tweak them etc. Kinda the best of both worlds.

 @1c3e335f Another advantage that I just realized: Recording through amps + learning drums -- this dramatically reduces my reliance on macOS for recording. 

(Logic Pro has been my drummer for years...) 

I've always wanted to do my recording and mixing with Linux + open source. Two steps closer now.
