In addition to the possible ineffectiveness of the solar array, there is a body of data showing the earth is a carbon sink. By covering up that acreage, the earth is prevented from absorbing carbon while providing dubious value from the energy production.

There is a similar array down the street from my home. In the winter, they don't clear the snow.
They just put in another one about fifteen miles away that is much larger. I wonder if they will clear the snow off that one.
The Utility proudly tells everyone about their environmentally beneficial solar array while not maintaining them and continuing to utilize old technology.
