"Hong Kong Engineers Week 2024" concluded with diverse activities and competitions. The event featured seven activities, including the "Hong Kong Engineers Week Carnival" which attracted over 46,000 participants. The "Career Fairs" recorded more than 1,300 visitors. Winners of various competitions were announced, including the "Engineer Alliance" with Ir Eva LEE Ho Yan as the Captain and Mr Anthony CHAN Chun Yip and Miss Miro CHAN Sum Chau as Vice-captains. The primary school design competition was won by Precious Blood Primary School, St. Francis of Assisi’s Caritas School (Team 2), and Chai Wan Kok Catholic Primary School (Team 1). The secondary student quiz contest winners were Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui College, Immaculate Heart of Mary College, and Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College. The joint team from Hong Kong Metropolitan University and Shenzhen Institute of Technology emerged as the Overall Champions of the invitational competition tournament. The President of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Ir Dr Barry LEE Chi Hong, expressed gratitude for the support and participation and emphasized the importance of cultivating the interest of the younger generation in engineering work. The successful conclusion of the event marks a new beginning for the Institution to continue promoting the development of the engineering field.
