Shingles is caused by the same chickenpox virus.....but it remains dormant after you recover from chickenpox. People tend to get it when they are older (after having chickenpox at a young age) when their immune system starts to decline.
You can only get shingles if you have had chickenpox..
Post clot shot shingles is caused from the immune suppression caused by the shots......
