for the first time, exactly 7 months before my first Jubilee, i now own my own proper KJV Bible

i probably should get a baby version with the full thing but in small print, to keep in my backpack, this one is fairly large print, which is nice, but a small one for the bug out situation is a thing... or the getting carted to jail situation

meh, anyway, now i can start reading off it and making a bunch of notes instead of having the thoughts and forgetting them

haven't sat down to read for a bit tho, need to make that a thing... just like needing to make doing situps, pushups, squats and stretches a thing

would be better if i didn't end up doing that in the getting carted to jail situation really... i can at least say "i have celiac and type 2 diabetes" and not get fed bread and potatoes but lol nah, but anyhow, having been to jail it warps my mind thinking about it all the time, yeah but what if la de dah
What do you do for Jubilee?
i have no idea but the Book of Jubilees is a version of Genesis that records epochs of 49 year periods, and in other versions and texts it has the same meaning

and yeah, idk, maybe get baptised :D
i mean, i already was, i don't think it counts to do it again, just a kind of re-affirmation is what is in my mind
I have a bible app on my phone so I always have a bible with me.

I use the "Grace to You Bible App from John MacArthur. It has the King James Version (KJV), the New American Standard Bible (NASB), and the English Standard Bible (ESV). The Bible only is free. You can get all of John MacArthur's study notes if you pay a small fee. My husband has paid for the notes because they are very good.

John MacArthur is very knowledgeable biblically and is willing to stand up to tyranny. He refused to close his church in California during Covid despite threats of fines and jail time and eventually won in the courts. They made an amazing movie about His church's stance called "The Essential Church". I highly recommend it.
Ah! That's what I still need to add to my graphene phone. But since I'm now thinking about this, what I Really want is a tiny copy of John
yeah, the small bible is a thing, i'm penciling it on my list of things to have in my backpack at all times, so it's around when i'm out

i don't carry my phone outside, i'm sick of the stupid thing

i bought a tiny little voice and SMS only dumbphone and i want to use it but i really don't need a phone at all, tbh, i grew up before this tech existed and the thing that i'm feeling more than anything these days is missing from my life is time to think and to watch the world around me
most Christians in these times, indeed most people:

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; i would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, i will spue thee out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16

so happy to have a nice physical book to read, i need to make a space in my routine to spend more time with it and making notes, i have theses to elaborate
man, shipping to portugal is expensive... gonna get this video though after my pay comes through

i know that the developer of coracle also was moved to build that app related to the same issue, and the situation of the whole world in these times is worse than it has ever been in my life

i believe i have been told that this is actually the last of the shadow's increase and after next year things will start to be different, maybe not for the World at Large but for our people
yeah, considering that the rev 3:15-16 came to mind i'm gonna go hot on this... i want to see this thing and i'm happy to give something to the people who made it and who it is about

i feel like getting off the fence is something i need to do, i have become quite despondent and probably what will help me push over to the place i want to be is giving more of my time to things that are good and right
What does hot symbolize? If anything, but it sounded like it has its own meaning to you
cold - wary, cautious, careful, reluctant, disinterested, stubborn

hot - exhuberant, excitable, passionate, engaging, bold, intrepid, aggressive

lukewarm - indifferent, ambivalent, undecided, flaccid, easily lured
I definitely prefer physical books, but if you carry a phone it is handy to have a bible handy at all times.

The small Bibles are nice to have, but as I have gotten older, my eyes have gotten worse. Carrying a small Bible that has writing so small I can't read it doesn't do me any good.
yeah, my vision has declined but i still can read about 8 point font ok so that makes a much smaller volume possible... the one i just got is "comfortable" size, about 10 point, so when i say small i mean like 4.5" tall or so, normal aspect, it would fit in the lap pockets of my combat pants
