Check out my bounty at resolvr.io: nostr:naddr1qqdhgetnwskhw6t5dqkhgct8wvkn2cm9vv6kvv35v56kyccpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfdupzqgs9ytpvx2em72gqdvn4ugjt9pwkfwce77da4yrfjx7t8ps7rr95qvzqqqr4vgp5v37x
resolvr.io requires an email based login but publishes to nostr? What was the term we wanted to use for this kind of crap nostr integration?
I'm not sure what you mean. I'm working on the site here: https://resolvr-io.vercel.app/ you can login with a browser extension and create a bounty right now (keep in mind the site is still in progress and some things may not work). The note I posted here is just a test for when the site is live.
Well, the vercel url was not obvious from the original post so I went to https://www.resolvr.io/ which looks very different.
We have fixed the experience
Not sure what you mean. The one url still requires an email address and the other url is still as it was before I think, too. When requesting an npub it's very easy to integrate nip07. Just check if there is a function available called nostr.getPublicKey(). In fact I'm surprised others don't do that. No extra library required. @Kieran why are nostr clients not greeting the user with something in the sense "Nostr extension detected. Want to login using it?" or the inverse "No nostr extension detected. Get one here!"?
While I am new here, I have come across nostr clients that are accessible even by email like stacker news and bolt.fun. I also feel it will do nostr a great deal of good because it gives a mental picture that nostr is not something so much more complex than traditional methods. The email requirements is on the blogging site, and it is a permanent default on the part of ghost(the platform powering the site). This is a temporary arrangement while we continue working on the actual resolvr. There are no sign ups now, and we are only collecting contacts to invite to alpha test Resolvr.
stacker news and bolt fun joined the nostr train as an afterthought. I wouldn't consider those "nostr clients" but rather nostr enabled tools. I don't want to give my email and less so for a nostr client. It's just not necessary other than for your marketing, which probably is the best reason not to want it. At least spam me via nostr where I have a block/mute button.
Understood and noted! Thank you for engaging with us
No problem. We are always pleased to help.
Also I'm building the entire thing in public https://www.twitch.tv/chrisatmachine, and the code is open source, I haven't implemented any required email signups: https://github.com/Resolvr-io/resolvr.io
