We aren't cheering because privacy was violated. That's high time preference and fiat. We're cheering because those who chose to ignore the maxis' warnings and only learn through pain finally have a chance to learn and move forward. We're looking beyond this immediate circumstance, and seeing that humanity has progressed just a little bit farther, like so many starfish thrown back into the sea.
