Good riddance indeed, but the beast won't die easily methinks...
Canada post is a crown corporation just like the LCBO, Liquor Control Board of Ontario and all the other government monopolies that the government has taken over inside of Canada. They seem to go on strike every few years and normally they always get what they what. Almost none of them are even profitable. All paid by money stolen from us via what the government calls taxation. Canada is very socialist. Socialism everywhere.
