We're heading back east to visit some very good friends in Detroit. We'll be traveling through South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and finally Michigan.
My souvenir goal for the trip? I want a cow figurine from Wisconsin crafted entirely from cheese.
Also, I'm worried about Indiana. We're staying a night in South Bend and I'm trying to figure out how to hide the fact that I don't believe in "Touchdown Jesus" or Notre Dame football.

If you're near Peoria IL, I *highly* recommend the Jubilee Cafe at the Edwards exit! It doesn't look like much, but the food is usually great and they have some of the best homemade pies ever. My go-to order is the breaded & fried pork tenderloin sandwich & a slice of toffee cream pie

@4a888f94 if you have time, a reroute through Michigan’s Upper Peninsula will be absolutely gorgeous this time of year. I went five hours out of my way to visit Fishtown in the Lelenau Peninsula to pick up smoked salmon. It’s amazing!
