I won’t be shocked if we learn he was seen practicing on those very walls, or some prison interior likeness of them.  If observed , it was likely dismissed as eXtreme exercise.

Not long ago, in May, another inmate escaped climbing the same wall. The prison didn't do its due diligence after the first escape.
