This is disturbing. > Meanwhile, Walmart has also been testing digital price tags with fluctuating prices that could change in the time it takes you to grab the item off the shelf and scan it at the register. nostr:nevent1qqsd2qfczh55sh9d5nl3valepac028j553xvwqx3juz04vr5gmjq9hgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsygx5n2gz8gsahgdneqcxegmfhuey8k95fw8skmg3jes877cfjragmupsgqqqqqqsyj8sqz
Welcome to inflation!
I think stores should only update those prices once a day. Raising the price of an item from when you picked it up until before you can pay for it?! In that case, I could see people wanting to be charged immediately and probably automatically, as soon as they put it in their baskets. It's similar to false advertising or items being mislabeled or wrongly priced.
is this amazon sending out covert operatives to fuck up the competition or what?
This is perhaps a response to Amazon. I believe Amazon engages in this type of "dynamic pricing" or whatever you want to call it. I've seen items go up in price just because I took a look at it recently (at least I believe that is why it went up; they figured a sale was coming and they wanted to maximize revenue).
Yikes!
