You know, this is self-censorship. There are plenty of arguments that support your warning/advice. In many ways you're right. But it is self-censorship.
You say it like it's a bad thing. Instead, self-censorship would often save us from a lot of bullshit.
It may, but if you cannot speak your mind and have to tip around topics, then there is a significant chance that that by itself becomes a source of bullshit. Mistakes, misinterpretations, etc.
I don't agree, but I understand what you mean.
