There is something that has bugged me for a while: everyone's talking about the Putin interview with varying opinions. Shortly before there was a lot of media attention on the coverage of Carlson visiting Russia. But I have seen nobody remark on the *kind of* reactions the Russian citizens made.
A lot was said about honesty, about how Tucker Carlson is sincere and dares to be truthful. I think people forget and/or underestimate the impact of the west's behavior towards the Russian people, e.g. if the propaganda and misrepresentation reaches these people. They will also hear the lies that are being spread about them. This has been going on for years already.
I would think these interview reactions and the coverage, is in part because of how they are generally being misrepresented.
I cannot disprove that I may be making up details or misinterpreting reactions. I just think these reactions were interesting in a way that noone seems to notice.
