I'm seeing lots of new content too; gardening, education, cooking, homesteading, physics, etc. For all new people, please don't hesitate to ask questions (even if you think they're dumb questions) – Nostr is a different paradigm, it's not always easy to grok. 🙏 thank you! My concern that I can’t upload videos to my posts, every time I see communication about “mistake/problem with connection”. Do we have at #nostr some limits on uploading videos?
Yes! A part of having freedom to post whatever you want on #nostr is supporting the network you post on. For every post, photo or video you upload someone has to store that on a computer somewhere. Facebook, TT, YT, IG, etc can do it for you, but they can also censor you, delete all your data or sell you out to marketers. Posts and pics are free to post here, but videos are not. You have to pay for a service like @nostr.build to post anything longer than a few seconds. You pay small amounts for some of the services you are used to, but have lots of peace of mind about it.
