 I guess they don’t talk about the investor‘s risk. They mean the risk for tradfi.

 Not everyone is a techno-genius. Working with Bitcoin can be technical and if you don't do it right, you can lose it. Not everyone has a safe to keep their seed phrase secure. There IS some risk with self-custody that not everyone is suited for. But with time and with products coming out that make it easier, they can learn and slowly withdraw from ETFs and into the real thing. At least they have been smart enough to peg their fiat trash to the right asset.
