also, i came to an understanding in my head that the visual side of things regarding UX/UI doesn't really grind my gears as much as the behavioural side does (UX), so i am trying to now map out how can i apply that more 

 One thing you’ll learn is that peole don’t behave as you’d expect them to. That’s where testing comes in. But, it’s quite boring as most websites don’t have sufficient traffic to do any statistically significant testing
