Does anyone regularly use web clients in mobile devices through a normal browser and prefer those to native clients?
 not usually
I use Brave on mobile since I have tried it on Desktop.. it's useful for me.. but I use Librewolf on Desktop now
 yes and no
i know ppl often use nostrudel through their phone and like it
I don't like mobile phones and I like big screens with big desktop applications that use all of the space. 🤙
If on Android, might be yes but if on iOS totally no.
Usually use web clients in desktop/laptop, use native clients in mobile devices. Performance is probably the main reason.
Yes, for privacy reasons. Gmaps for example doesn't work on de-googled phones, but is often the best maps app to find things. Some apps, e.g. local transportation apps, are not available anywhere but GooglePlay or AppStore and for quick action I prefer to use their webapp rather than to download it manually.
Yeah Nostrudel seems to have more functionality than Amethyst
I do when I have to
Sometimes use snort in mobile browser.
I'm using Coracle as a pwa besides Nostur
I never do because I don't trust the PWA storage. If the browser cache is flushed, I expect every PWA to lose all its data.
 Yes

sometimes kiwi browser to use extension for signing (android)
 with nos2x extension 😉
nostrudel and others in spring browser, but prefer Amethyst just for performance.
Some niche clients are only available through spring on mobile.
Since there isn't an up to date browser on mobile that uses extensions not really. Not a big fan of pasting my private key into websites
The only web client I use via browser on mobile is zap stream since there is no mobile app (on iOS)

Much prefer native apps
Yes, alby/kiwi/coracle but I recognize I may be an exception
I used to do the same, but than Kiwi stopped working correctly for me. Sometimes tapping a button wouldn't work whenever I got a prompt from Alby.
I've noticed that as well, kiwi is pretty fairly broken now
I conscientiously use the mobile page of 9gag to make it a shitty experience for me so that I visit the page less often.
I do. Iris via Kiwi browser on Android, and via Orion browser on iOS.
Depends what the client supports. If it does not display the note better, check the web, that is on mobile. Snort, iris and nostrudel have better display support for the twitter and youtube links for android. Amethyst supports better m3u8.
 нет 😑
 Yes! Nostraco.in
Personally I stick to Amethyst only.
I am using quite regular the PWA client that I am building (nosotros.app), mostly to read my feed and comments, but still very limited in functionality.
Yes, sometimes I use, don’t like installing too much apps on my phone.
i'm using mostly safari with nostr client and nostore on ios.

it's as fast as client app and :
- easy switch account ( well done @nostore)
- can zoom in the page when i forget my glasses

so for me, even better than native app
old.reddit. Their app is an unusable piece of garbage.
Only when the available native clients all suck.

For example, I watch YouTube in the browser (redirect to invidious automatically). I also look at reddit when I do look at it in the browser (redirect to old reddit automatically). If the native clients were any good I'd probably use those instead.
Yes, preferably. hate downloading another app through an app store.
 PWAs >>>
I would, If PWA login was secure.

On iOS, without dedicated nostr browser like Spring, mobile web clients are less valuable as one of many browser tabs. Nostur is my goto until PWA login gets fixed.

Looking forward to NIP-46 key management as a native app. Will open doors to many web clients on mobile!!
