One of my favourite conspiracy theories is that the PayPal Mafia invented bitcoin as a long term project (which now has a life on its own), but needed PayPal to make short term gains and establish digital payment as a option in the minds of the people. 

 Elon and I have had personal differences and he plays hardball well. I'm still not pleased with the outcome but I respect him for his tactics. After a while they just wanted me to go away, LOL! 

 I wouldn't be shocked.

But they made it open source, so we don't HAVE to let them centralize it.  We can take it whatever direction we want.

The American empire is controlled by a oligarchy. This oligarchy has its own rivalries. I wouldn't wonder if bitcoin was invented and/or seeded by one group of oligarchs as a blow against another group of oligarchs (maybe entrepreneurs against land owners).
 

 So you are trying to tell us the Bankers are acting as if they are against Trump so Trump can influence the people? That's some mental gymnastics. 

Wouldn't it be more probable that Trump has been supporting "crypto" for years now if anyone cared to pay attention. I used "crypto" as a generalization due to his new or limited understanding of the currency. 

Please tell me why he hung the last President that removed the Central Bank to his left shoulder in the Oval Office?
