haha nice. I have a big tape collection and no tape player 😅
Started the same way 🫂 Now, it's time that you get a cheap portable tape player and go dance in the street 🤸🏼
I strongly recommend the FiiO cp13 "portable cassette player". USB-c, 20 hour battery, and solid. Only problem is you must mod a clip solution. I will perhaps make a post on how to do this later.
That's a great device, thanks for sharing. I've been struggling a lot lately with old tape player. Battery dying, belt worning out... Since I use tape with my synth, sometime you troubleshoot with no reason when the tape start playing quietly. Definitely looking for something more solid.
Yes so the only issue I had with it was it ran slightly fast at first. So I put my calibration tape it and sure enough, fast. You can adjust the speed but the screw is on the front, under the transport, not on the back. So it's a bit annoying but doable.
I will consider it. Right now I'm using an old Sanyo which is past its time and a "kind of melotron" tape player from Gieskes. https://image.nostr.build/725b041e5963199dbc99bd7f42515045a0e56df6b4cbcc617a3d1f97dc956d49.jpg
That's pretty baller :) I would keep that rollin as long as I could too!
There is another one, more expensive by "we are rewind". It has bluetooth even but it is even bigger so I'd say not wearable.
Whicy music do you like collecting?
i have a mix of stuff. Id say most of it is ambient or alternative. I have a large marjority of this label's discography https://muzaneditions.bandcamp.com/ what about you?
