I listened to it. Is it the part where he’s talking about getting yield from big banks? He is such a fiat guy at his core.
That's it. What bothers me is the hero worship for the guy. He's no hero of mine.
Agreed. He is very intelligent but his mindset is clearly entrenched in the fiat world. He is absolutely fixated on NGU and doesn’t seem to recognize the (imo) more important elements of freedom and trustlessness that Bitcoin enables. Saylor wants more billions in fiat and actively doesn’t want a paradigm shift. He’s too well off as is.
To be fair he has said himself kill your heroes
Feels like he says things that he knows Bitcoiner’s want to hear in an effort to placate us. But if you listen carefully he has some pretty statist / fiat views. The guy is a world class salesman. He knows how to manipulate quite well.
Yea that’s definitely true. He’s at a minimum buddy’s with intelligence people but it probably runs deeper than that. But a moron? Idk man
Moron is the polite phrasing. If he's actually that dense he's a moron. I personally suspect you're spot on with the intelligence ties and he knows much more and is playing a role. In that world he's just a douche instead of moron.
What do you think his end game is?
6102 styled acquisition has always been my assumption tbh.
I think about this a lot. The thing we have going for us is the ability to be really slippery, and my hope is there’s a critical mass of self custody plebs by the time they try some shit. Also they’ll obv go after a lot of other assets before Bitcoin so that should give us some runway. Not a fun thought tho
