Mercedes-Benz and Porsche are facing increased competition in Europe from Chinese electric vehicle (EV) makers, led by BYD. The German automakers have been gaining ground in the EV market, but their Chinese rivals are closing the gap. According to Bloomberg, BYD has sold over 250,000 EVs in Europe this year alone, while Mercedes-Benz and Porsche have sold around 150,000 and 70,000 respectively. As the European market continues to shift towards electric vehicles, these German brands must adapt to remain competitive.
