Back in the days when Wikileaks kicked the hornets nest I witnessed how they got deplatformed by various payment providers unfortunately I never heard the word Bitcoin, the first time I was aware of it was in 2017 it immediately caught my attention it would take an additional 5 years to complete my metamorphosis to a full-fledged maxi. Sometimes I wonder how my life would've turned out if I had managed to figure bitcoin out around that Wikileaks saga, my guess is I probably would've screwed up so I made peace with 2017 since 99% of the population has still no clue I consider it still as an achievement.
