Good luck buddy. One piece of advice I would have is that recruiters are a mixed bag because I have literally encountered LinkedIn pajeets who call themselves "recruiters" and gatekeep decent jobs and I had one negotiate 20 percent more salary than my stated salary range on my behalf before the interview they got me. If the interview doesn't go thru it might be worth researching recruiters/staffing firms in you area. 

 I have a few recruiters as contacts, they send me emails every so often checking on my job situation. I usually just rely on Indeed for the most part but it's always good to have someone with an employment agency on lock. But you're right a lot of them are next to useless.
