Oddbean new post about login | logout still amazed how much clients are improving every day, just a year or two ago there were a few barely usable ones. now we have many very good mobile clients with a wide variety of features. This year damus will add two more to the mix: notedeck and android, and from there: the damus suite. A set of tools for different use cases: social, work, play. All interoperable. The future of nostr is many clients working together reliably for different use cases. So much more cool stuff to build. We’re just getting started 🏁🏎️

Please build a way to organize my feed better. It’s really annoying seeing the same note reposted 5 times in a row while scrolling. I like what primal does where it consolidates the reposts. Also please give the option to remember where I left off on the feed. Whenever I switch to notifications, I lose my place on the feed. I know you’ve argued before that this gives people a fomo feeling but as long as we can customize that, people can choose for themselves how they want that experience. Appreciate your work 🫡
We have hundreds of things scheduled on our roadmap, this is on it but it is not the highest priority? This doesn’t bother me personally at all, it would be trivial to add if someone wanted to add it. anyone can yet noone does. The current design philosophy of damus ios is more focused on in-the-now conversations, and is not really focused on long scrolling or keeping track of everything you’ve missed. Notedeck saves your position, it’s nice to keep it open and then start scrolling up where you last left off. This is great for power users and you don’t need to miss anything. It’s good at this because it can be left on throughout the day. Phone’s aren’t as good at this. Sounds like you already have a workaround? Use the client that fits you. That’s where nostr shines.
