ending the customer relationship with my old bank soon, but i have my BankID with them still. i have an appointment later, with my new bank, to move it there. you have to show up in person with your ID to do it. BankID is basically how you ID yourself online in Norway for sensitive stuff like banking, tax forms and welfare. Sweden also has a system with the same name. Denmark has MitID, but unlike in Sweden and Norway, this service is run by the government, not the banks collectively. not too long ago, the banks in Norway switched away from a scheme with a key fob to an app-based one. you also need to provide a password, which is retained in the new system. https://media.berserker.town/media_attachments/files/111/164/510/524/234/786/original/fe042676a5edbf1d.png
@c721880c I think I'd prefer the Danish system here. I like having the eID system independent of the bank, especially when it comes to needing to access my healthcare and unemployment data. I'd rather I'd weren't dependent on a private organisatiom for those
