Does anyone here wear HOKA sneakers? My foot surgeon and physical therapist recommended them. The shape is kinda clownish, but the ones I tried on were super-comfortable. I work on my feet a lot now, so I’ll weigh support over style.

 Yes
Why do you say they look clownish? They look normal in the photos.
The top-down view shows the shape better. Also, I have to get the wider ones because of my dumb flat feet. Check out these colors, they’re wild. (Black-on-black is more my speed.)

The HOKA’s are where its at. They do a version with bitcoin orange too 🧡 https://video.nostr.build/04b003b0c47ee1d9494be5060e6cc78a5284db0155f5ba92a6076793cfd380c7.mp4
 This is a good reply.
Happy to be of service. My brother got me on to them and its early days in my HOKA journey but so far am loving them
Thanks, and also for not being the guy who replies with, “Shoes? You should be wearing rocks tied to your feet with rope like a real man!”
 haha lol

I got ya bro 🤙
Dude, ditch the shit fiat shoes. You NEED to touch ground. Those shoes are the CAUSE of your foot issues. Please follow barefoot will on twitter for more info.

I've gone barefoot shoes and am NEVER going back to dumb clown shoes like these.
Pretty sure you can’t work barefoot in a pub 😂
 Barefoot shoes aren't barefoot man.
Ah, the barefoot maxis always show up whenever anyone asks for shoe advice. 😂
Dont knock it til you try it. 💯 cant complain about someone else showing you a better path while you completely ignore it and assume what you KNOW it truth. Sounding like a damn fucking no coiner right now.
 I think it’s the attitude that’s mostly off-putting.
I’ve got barefoot shoes and can vouch for them, much better than normal shoes. Not a zealot about them, I’m already insufferable enough on plenty of other things 😂
 This is the way.
The Bondi 8 is the plushiest and highly recommended by folks who work on their feet a lot. Know some nurses that have 2-3 pairs just to cycle them through a week for better foot health.

The outsole is extra large compared to your foot, which is suppose to help naturally guide your foot into a stable, neutral landing every time.

The less cushioned ones aren’t quite so boat esque.
Then again, I’ve also fallen in love with “0 drop” shoes. Any shoe that has no difference in cushion between heel to toe. Barefoot or minimum cushion is a big trend lately, but the even 0 drop and plenty of cushion is worth a shot

I had surgery on my big toe last year so I’m not sure if this is going to be helpful or not. I absolutely can’t afford to mess my feet up any further.
The reason you had surgery im sure is BECAUSE of your shoes.
Could be, but it was mainly due to correct a bone spur. I had 20+ years of urban walking and genetic flat-footedness.
Then get serious about foot health and give will a follow and a DM about a fre consultation.
 Hated them
I like Altra; some have a very wide toe box and I find that helpful for natural foot movement and less pain
I also wear a lot of altras! I just got these and love them so far. Wide toe box, zero drop, barefoot shoe

The zero drop is so nice! Will check these out thx💜
I had really bad issues with plantar fasciitis years ago and I’ve bern running in https://www.altrarunning.com exclusively for over 12years. Never running in anything else. Really comfortable. Large toe box and various levels of cushion/support.
Those look great too. I’ll give them a look!
You will not regret it 🫡
I couldn’t agree more! I use the road the trail versions. Super comfortable.
I cannot go back to normal shoes now; my feet tell me hell no lol. Also exclusively Altra.
I really hated mine, recommended by a podiatrist after a stress fracture. Kept rolling my ankles.
I’m going to try them for a couple of weeks. They have a 30-day test flight.
I wear Hooka brand shoes. I consider myself a running enthusiast. I’d recommend Hooka.
 Hookah! That’s a totally different experience! 🤣
 Whoops too many oo(s).
yes, i think the cushioning helps a lot if you’re walking/standing on hard surfaces a lot and recovering from an injury! i like clifton 9!
Brooks with a gel insole have done me well at jobs in which I'm on my feet all day on a level, hard floor
I bought their recovery flip flops and love them
I’m thinking about getting those. Right now I’ve got some Sketchers sandals that are pretty nice but I want something strapless.
I really do wish more tried going towards less cushion and support, than more.
That said, people do tend to really like Hoka and On Cloud brand right now.
I had a metal rod inserted into my bone 6 months ago, so I need something that’s not going to bang my foot around while it’s still healing. https://i.nostr.build/xEq9k.jpg
I’ve completed five 100 milers and 6 other ultra marathons. Every race I have run was in Hokas. Most of my training was in Hokas. They are very comfortable and great for my wide foot.
No, but highly recommend ASIC Nimbus 25 for comfort
I’ve tried on a couple pairs including the Bondi 8s and the Clifton 9s. Of the 2 I liked the Bondi (bit more of a cushion sole compared to the Cliftons). I didn’t like them enough to replace my brooks Ghost though, at least not for day to day walking, maybe for running. I also feel that the Hokas are a bit too narrow for my foot but perfect for my girl so it depends on your foot honestly.
The regular ones were too narrow and the wide ones were too wide. I’ve heard good things about Brooks, though.
