I'm not endorsing any book on this website, but at the same time, I strongly suggest that people explore banned and suppressed books.

There is something very fascinating in there, and a lot of answers, but be careful. 🫡

Check out The Creature from Jekyll Island
 Is that a banned book?
they don't ban anymore, it just vanishes from the list.
Oh these seem to include actually banned books. So used to the "banned book" that are like the handmaid's tale or whatever.

Behold, the cover art 😻

(P sure this isn't actually banned, but I wanted to post the cover).

#bookstr
Also didn't realise Oliver Twist was banned (?), again obviously not banned now.
This website contains wide variety of books including banned books.
"out-of-print, out-of-copyright, no-longer available or very difficult to find, hidden, suppressed, banned or otherwise prevented from wider public access and distribution"

if the government doesn't want you to read specific books, you should probably read them.

 where Mein Kampf
Think that's only banned in Germany tbf.
 nah there's more lol
Austria. I totally forget Austria exists. Which is ironic considering this conversation lol
 oh didnt know ab Austria

but also the Netherlands, Israhell, and UK/Russia too i think.. but they're not so sure, they often revoke and then reinstate ze ban
 That's just a Bavarian colony.
 what do you mean
just a Bavarian joke. Austria is Bavaria's Alpenkolonie.
No I didn't either I just assume Austria does whatever Germany is doing but a week later.
 Now fuck off
 that's definitely banned over here.
These are probably the most read and easily accessible books tho. These lists are always annoying. A school library somewhere probably just removed it at some point.
yeah probably. Some time this year I saw a "news" report somewhere stating that 1984 (fair enough) and Lord of the Rings are considered as dangerous. Not sure why the latter was mentioned. Anyway, definitely read the books your Gov doesn't want you to read.
Lord of the Rings is considered 'dangerous' by some twitter left type people, who see it as a 'dogwhistle' for stuff like English nationalism, racism. Tolkien is a tiny bit 'cancelled' lol
At least we still have the bible. Wouldn't know what to do without it 🤣
At least 15 of these were assigned reading at my high school, and almost all of them are main stream and considered great reading.

I mean seriously. Who the hell believes that “Charlottes Web” or “Harry Potter” or “The Hunger Games” are books which threaten the government that they don’t want you to read? That’s a silliest thing I’ve ever heard.

Where’s Atlas Shrugged at? Or the Creature From Jekyll Island? Those still aren’t “banned” books but at least those selections make a tiny bit of sense considering their ideas actually threaten the current government.
should have just said "if the government doesn't want you to read specific books, you should probably read them." without a pic
 Thanks for sharing
Odd list. Depends on country I suppose? My son is reading Fahrenheit 451 in his freshman English class currently.
random list from the internet dating back to 2012.
