I finally finished baling and made it to my office to try scanning directly from the screen. It worked but it also said that I needed to add wss://groups.0xchat.com to my relays list to add groups from a QR. Perhaps this was the issue.  Also, I found and joined the group simply by searching the groups earlier. I just wanted to circle back to this. I just wanted to give you an update.  

 This won't appear on your general relay list, but it will remind you that you need to connect to this relay in order to use group chats. This is how NIP-29 groups work.
