It's EXTREMELY difficult not to become overprotective of your daughter when you've seen how cruel the world can be to women. 

 ..I think men have it hard as well.  

 Yea, no doubt. I was referring solely to the physical concerns. Men, undoubtedly, have to deal with some emotional issues.
