 @326ce0aa Thank you for sharing photos. There are good looking orange-red squash, healthy parsnip, red cabbage and more and more. We grow garlic and trade with a friend for squash as the squash uses so much space. #nodig, #compost, #GrowYourOwn. #Minnesota. Have a good October season.
 Thanks @cf593c09 What I call the market garden was our solutions for "too little space for all the veg that occupies a bed for a long time".
So our friends provided the land on their small hold and I do most of the gardening in return.
This means, veg that doesn't need my constant attention is a few km away. The stuff with more need for tlc is close at the house.
We are very lucky to have these opportunities.
All the best for your season, too!
 @326ce0aa We are also very fortunate to have garden space. We hope our October gardening has three more weeks before a killing frost. The tomatoes, peppers, eggplant are still adding fruits. #Minnesota had the hottest September of record. The killing frost may be far away. Our #Zone4b garden season is extended for now. We have often planted #Garlic the last week of October. We added #Salsify this year. That’s a long season vegetable. #ClimateCrisis, #ClimateEmergency.
 @cf593c09 Salsify is so delicious!

Unfortunately germination of my saved seed was pretty poor this year.
September was also the hottest on record here. Yesterday was the first day of possible frost in the long term mean. Not this year, I guess.
Our spring in #Zone7a was cold and dry and it felt a challenge. When I read about you and others in zones like 4b and harder, I feel humbled and try to enjoy the possibilities given to me better. Thanks! 🙂
