Yeah, plenty of ways to have a USD like experience on Bitcoin if you can't stomach vol but I'm with you there, I think the sooner you get on a sat standard the better, and anytime you spend in USDT you're just bleeding value but that's the individuals choice

The only + I could give this is possible easier on-ramps and liquidity for P2P trading, because the fiat side of P2P is always a pain in the arse, high fees and slow 

Atleast it's interoperable so theres that, if someone wants to zap me a LN-USDT I have no use for that, so it should convert to sats for me, I don't want that drama and possible OFAC BS 

 from speed.app "...To ensure the security and transparency, USDT-L will be 100% reserved against USDT on Ethereum."  ...And nothing else is explained. I couldn't find any information at all on the Internet about  USD-L (LN-USD i mean more correctly) 

 I checked tethers website and I see no taproot asset issuance, so you're telling me they're issuing a token, based on a token issued on ETH, what could go wrong? Lol
