The quality of your days depends on the quality of your thoughts.

It seems that this is a Universal Law.

I’ve been reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and I’ve just started the book of Napoleon Hill - Think and Grow Rich.

Both books talk about how it is important to control your thoughts.

Could you tell to anyone what are you thinking right now (honestly) without feeling shame?
First part sounds nice and I believe is true. Nice thoughts improve the quality of my day.

The second part about controlling thoughts may however sound horrific to those with OCD. They just can't stop having unwanted thoughts.

I literally think of the most horrible things all the time. A better of saying that is, horrible thoughts come to me all the time. That does not mean I agree with my brain farts nor that I have to act on them in anyway. The more such person tries to control these thoughts that harsher they get.

I think it would be sad to continuously feel ashamed of having bad thoughts. It took me long therapy sessions to make peace and let go.
Yes. I am never shameful of my thoughts...
 I NEEDED TO HEAR THIS!
THANKS

 I love Meditations.
 Positive Thoughts Manifest Positive Things
Shame, fear, catastrophizing, coming up home made horror films in your imagination, vicious inner and outer critic

@ODELL
It's mostly shit about bitcoin and I don't have much of a filter between my brain and mouth. No shame but maybe I could improve by adding some distance from thought to voice
I'm thinking its going up forever Laura
 And Desire is very tricky.
"Remember how long you’ve been putting this off, how many extensions the gods gave you, and you didn’t use them. At some point you have to recognize what world it is that you belong to; what power rules it and from what source you spring; that there is a limit to the time assigned to you, and if you don’t use it to free yourself it will be gone and will never return."
Marcus Aurelius
Yes, it's going up forever! lol
My dad taught me this, and his source was the Bible. This is a deep truth.
I travelled a similar path, only from Napoleon Hill towards Marcus Aurelius.
 Beautifully spoken!
