Will and I are going out without the child in what feels like forever! He’s putting in contacts and I’ve dug out actual nice boots from storage. Watch out folks! It’s gonna be a big night 🤣 #parentstr
Oh shit! Breaking out the contacts!
Katie and I are watching Wonka on the couch. Jealous. Enjoy your night out.
I mean that’s a good night too! 💜
Meh. Daughter has a friend spending the night. Can't really do much else.
Gotta ditch the crotchfruit and remember who you are sometimes. It's good for them to ditch the squares, too.
Unclear lol
It is occasionally beneficial to create distance from one's children in order to embark on a short journey of self-discovery, exploring the dichotomy of the self-as-parent and the self-as-individual. Furthermore, children will experience a journey into the realm of self-management and individualism, ultimately and incrementally preparing them for adulthood. Ironically, a temporary and semi-regular "abandonment" of one's children may, in fact, be one of the more powerful and productive parental strategies in our repertoire. ....and I'm full of shit. 😂 Y'all have fun!
Have fun! But remember your lil' terror will be waiting in the morning!
