My home/auto insurance company, #StateFarm, just told me the reason my auto premium #increased $573.66 a year is because the #25% covid "pause" was lifted nationwide. 

Surprise!! 

It doesn't matter that I'm 69 years old. It doesn't matter that I only drive about 3,000 miles a year. It doesn't matter that I haven't had any moving violations or accidents. 

Nothing matters. They're allowed to raise all premiums 25% or more and they did it. Check your #policy #renewals.

 @246e513b , I wish I had learned this decades ago, but those guys who try to sell you insurance on the interwebsnet? They will sell a new years' insurance at an introductory rate, and if you switch providers every year, you can get the new rates every year. Totally worth it, but a pain in the butt to remember to do. And hundreds of phone calls to screen...
