So a friend asked why I refer to things as “fiat”. 

My response:

The money isn’t “money-ing” (Inflation)

The energy isn’t “energy-ing” (Renewables not meeting our demand needs)

The food isn’t “food-ing” (obesity, diabetes…)

Her response:
