Oddbean new post about login | logout I had no idea about the Q-anon conspiracy thing around the cell phone test alert today. Does anyone personally know someone who believes it? What exactly did they think was going to happen?
@f905755f I don't know someone who believes it, but I've cut anyone who would out of my life. They believed that the emergency test would trigger some 5G update that was supposed to activate the nano particles/machines/whatever they believe was in the Covid vaccine & turn everyone who got the vaccine into zombies. Or get the Marburg virus. I saw various screenshots of ppl panicking & Reddit threads about landlords shutting off power. What was sincere, trolling, or bad actors...Who knows.
