Perhaps unsurprisingly, it now appears that #women have benefitted more than men from the expansion of #hybridworking.

Public First analysis on ONS data suggests a shift to more full time working, especially in sectors such as #financialservcies & IT-related employment.

This then puts a different slant on the move by some #employers to limit or constrain #workingfromhome as part of hybrid working.

When something that benefits women is rolled back then we might think there's #sexism around?
@43d7c4ea can only agree, years before the pandemic did have one colleague quit when she couldn’t get flexible working to spend more time on childcare. Now it’s quite common for a zoom call to be ended by someone (either parent) having to go drive a child around. It shouldn’t however automatically be the mother who is spending more time on childcare, but suspect that’s a different conversation
@43d7c4ea there's something "management" and "control" around

Management like folk in the office because it looks busy and it looks like community and they value communication so like to talk face to face and just walk up to people and interfere.

A worker generally likes to be left alone to get on with it, quietly with no fuss or interruption.

Prepare for studies showing back to the office acts as a net negative on productivity and management types that refuse to accept the research.
