FWIW, images from the site I mention do not load at all, unless I click on the url. New behavior since enabling Tor/Orbot.
Well if you're only seeing it in one place and you care about important things, you're either not properly connecting to the right social graph...or it's not important.
So to summarize what you say:
If you have the right social graph, you will encounter people who will share it in the right format?
The more important the content, the more likely that becomes, yes.
