 Software slows down devices because it requires more resources over time. 


Apple, Samsung,  et al. All do this, not only phones but fridges,  microwaves etc. Etc. 

IOT can be detrimental when you just want to naked yout food hot

 Well, I suppose Nostr will help the software bloat a little bit. Browsers work okay even on older phones. 4GB of RAM is plenty for most users. And many newer phones have 12 GB these days. They can easily make a phone that lasts for 15 years. 

My stove is fully mechanical. I never bought a smart lightbulb, or IoT anything. I knew it was a hype scam like big data.

 Yeah, I always look at the raspberry pi 4gb as a benchmark iot threshold.  

Those are the specs that'd run everything fine enough. 12gb  and 5 camera lens is not what we want or need .

 It's okay. Instead of making 12 GB phones, they'll make AI accelerators to avoid overcapacity. No war in Taiwan will happen because of this.
