Touching grass... and berries. This mountain top had so many wild raspberries and blueberries. https://i.nostr.build/HTQKxbTnR8B07GjJ.jpg https://i.nostr.build/1uQ2cSHa0qjI0A5g.jpg https://i.nostr.build/xFFH6EMYzeEj9ost.jpg https://i.nostr.build/VKDAktUqj4NnQ0ub.jpg https://i.nostr.build/uJSdXfTk0uYrcTMM.jpg
It looks like there’s a tiny eyeball in that 5th picture! Blueberry …or proof of ancient aliens?
Definitely aliens. Millions of years ago this mountain top was under the ocean. Definitely ancient aliens.
Of course! https://i.nostr.build/5NPMqvEKj9KexLhf.jpg
Beautiful! Happy Sunday for both of you! 🌻💜
Thank you 🥹 Kids came too but didn't want to get out of the car until I found the berries 😡
Cool dad outfit 🤙
Am dad. Can confirm.
Do you bring Bear spray with you in case you find a surprise on the other side of the bush?
Nope. I grew up playing in the woods. Never once saw a bear in the woods. If I did, I'd probably shiy my pants, then scream at it like I was a crazy person with my arms above my head to make me seem huge.
Lol
I used to backpack in Desolation Wilderness around Lake Tahoe, let's estimate I spent 20 days there over my lifetime. And I saw a bear just once, at a distance, and he wasn't interested in me. OTOH in Yellowstone in the 1970s I saw black bears many times, just walking on the roadside or wherever. It entirely depends on which 'woods' you are in.
I miss those wineberries. They were everywhere where I grew up in SE PA. If you happen upon them toward the end of the fruit being ripe they taste a little boozey (hence the name).
