 It does, as does For, but the blockchain is public. All of your transactions are traceable unless you use techniques like CoinJoins to hide them. 

It takes technical skill and understanding few have, and Bitcoin influencers are not educating people on the dangers of surveillance. Too much obsession with price, rather than safety and freedom.
