You guys don't remember the cruise? Princess cruise line had a ship with outbreak and it was stuck in port off the coast of California. Eventually, they started off-loading people and kept them in quarantine for 14 days. Then they spread out, immediately after (like the following week) cases popped up in Seattle and so on. I forget exactly WHERE the cruise came from but I want to say Japan, for some reason. Either that or Japan had similar event. Same with NY.
