If you can run LN, you can run your own mint easily. 

 Why I need run a mint if I can run LN ? 

 ecash offers cool ways to use and pay with LN. To be sovereign one needs to run own mint, just like to be sovereign with LN one needs to run LN node. 

 Run your own mint if custodial mints trigger you 🤷‍♂️ 

 They're not scaling solutions; rather, they're eliminating some risks that are present with existing custodians (which are very widely used). I see them more as onboarding solutions.
