 Highlighter was originally Faaans which is supposed to do exactly this. 

 the email integration seems to be the critical piece given that is already so widely adopted and familiar. That is one of the gateway drugs to nostr

 Can't you run your own relay? Only those that subscribe can grab your content. 

 Yeah probably but it’s too technical, lacks a good consumption experience. You need a client that is fine tuned to onboard for this use case, and to consume the content. 

Hopefully multiple clients.
