Hi Lyn....question- can the US Fed Reserve cut interest rates anytime they want or do they HAVE to wait until the next meeting? I see Sept being floated around as a certainty now, but if they think it's out of control and the missed badly, why wait?
They can do it anytime they want, but it's a bad look if they do. It's a higher bar to do it mid-meeting because it's an acknowledgement of a crisis.
