If you have 'login with lightning' enabled and the active extension profile has you Master Key, it should work correctly. 

Did you try clicking on QR code? Can you paste the lnurl in 'send' to log in?

i have now logged into stacker news 🤝 
however now primal has logged me out/created a new user profile - i am sure i can figure it out
