I'll never forget the time a friend upgraded his harddrive and needed to update the BIOS.  He grabbed the wrong file and ended up with everything being in Chinese.   Forgot how he fixed it but it still gives me a good laugh.

I go into BIOS settings all the time. They have really improved its usefulness since the old days of the venerable 80286.
