I find it interesting how some people insist on a sense of "deep lore" before they feel immersed in a #ttrpg setting. After all, most people in reality don't exactly have a scholar's view of the world, and there's lots *we* don't even know about our reality. If we want a small gap between player and character knowledge, what does a 300 page setting detail guide then truly bring? Can we not play if we feel we have less than perfect knowledge of the world? #rpg #worldbuilding
@097804f6 @db9d959d I have a one-sheet for the campaign rules, goals. Then I have a two-sheet I call "Common Knowledge" for every character in the world (it's mostly true!).
That's it for the entry point to the homebrew. More than that and people ignore it.
